Remember when you left a movie midway, and had to open the same video again in VLC, you had to manually seek the time position to resume where you left off. The feature I’m talking about here, is resume playback automatically. But the latest version, pretty much puts it on par with the other apps. Though VLC has been a remarkably versatile media player, it has lacked several basic features, which are available in major rival apps (SM Player, PotPlayer to name a few). It is a bit surprising, that the developers took this long, to add suppoert for the latest version of the operating system, which was launched over four months ago.
The most important addition to the application, is support for Mac OS El Capitan. VLC media player 2.2.2 has been released, with a ton of new features.
